These are the five principles of Reiki. Anyone who can strive to live their life according to these principals can learn to practice Reiki. It is believed that Reiki energy is in all of us, laying dormant and that all that is required to set it free is for a Reiki Master to place the sacred symbols used to enhance the energy into your hands. This is known as an "attunement". Accredited by the Reiki Blessings Academy, our certificates will count toward further training and study through the academy. Training sessions are held regularly at the Uphall Station Institute in Livingston and Mulberry House in the West End of Edinburgh. A light lunch and refreshments are provided. Let me make it clear at this stage that it has been known for a “cure” to become apparent after Reiki, this possibility does not make the Reiki practitioner a healer or a doctor. On no account should a Reiki practitioner ever guarantee or offer a cure for disease. As a Reiki practitioner you do not “treat patients”, it is the work of the Reiki practitioner to facilitate the natural energy within to flow and make it possible for the body to begin the natural process of healing itself. There are strict guidelines to be followed and you will learn these during your first Reiki class.
